Partnering with quality suppliers for quality stock

At Johnson's Insulation Supplies, we have partnered with leading manufacturers for over 40 years because we know what materials perform best on site. The suppliers listed above, plus others listed across our wide ranging inventory, represent decades of proven performance across construction projects throughout the South of England. We stock their products in depth at all three depots for same-day collection or fast delivery to West Sussex, Kent and Hampshire.

Our relationships with these manufacturers mean more than distribution. We maintain stock levels that keep your projects moving and our cutting service is compliant with most of our product inventory. Most orders can be cut and delivered within two working days so you are not left waiting long for the materials you require.

What makes a quality insulation material?

Not all insulation performs equally on site. Thermal resistance, compressive strength, moisture resistance and reaction to fire all determine how well a product does its job and whether it continues to do so over its working life. Materials that cut corners on any of these fronts can degrade, compress or absorb moisture, undermining the performance your build was designed to achieve.

Manufacturing consistency is just as important as the spec sheet. Suppliers who invest in third-party testing and certified systems give you confidence that what arrives on site matches what was ordered. It is why we work alongside manufacturers who stand behind their products with tested data and accreditation to match.

Products by application

Thermal Insulation

Unilin PIR boards cover cavity walls, flat roofs and floors with a full range of thicknesses to meet Building Regulations. CavityTherm integrates with standard build methods. PIR cavity fill products handle Part L compliance. For loft spaces, URSA loft roll (formerly Superglass) provides cost-effective coverage with good thermal performance.

TLX Gold and Silver multi-foil insulation offer slim-profile solutions where construction depth is limited. These reflective systems work well in roof, wall and floor applications, particularly on retrofit projects.

Fire Protection

British Gypsum Fireline deflection head strips accommodate structural movement in partition systems whilst maintaining fire resistance - making them a great choice of fire protection materials. Coreboard deflection head strips provide similar performance for non-fire-rated applications. Promat supplies a comprehensive fire protection range covering structural steel, fire-rated ductwork and passive fire protection systems.

Styrene Insulations EPS70 flooring grade polystyrene offers compressive strength and reaction-to-fire classification for screeded floors in commercial builds.

Acoustic Performance

URSA cavity batt 32 and cavity batt 35 handle party wall applications and meet Approved Document E requirements for sound insulation. Rockwool RWA45 provides non-combustible, semi-rigid performance for flat roofs where fire safety and acoustic performance both matter. Installation Accessories

Beck aluminium foil tape seals joints and edges. YBS Cavity Closure provides neat detailing at window and door reveals. Sure CPS Group helical deck nails fix insulated roof deck assemblies.

Customer Review

Fantastic value (much more so than online even), but what really makes this business stand out is their friendliness and professionalism. Another reviewer said they don’t laugh if you cannot fit the PIR boarding in your car and I can confirm they don’t! 😂 - I turned up with no hope of being able to fit it in and they were so kind, they offered me their saw to use. Highly recommended.
